The Satyawati Cable Car (SCC) project, developed by Satyawati Darshan Pvt. Ltd. and promoted by Non-Resident Nepalese (NRNs) investors and local entrepreneurs, is being established in the Tinau Rural Municipality, Wards 4 and 5, of Palpa District in Lumbini Province, Nepal.
This initiative aims to install a state-of-the-art cable car system, with its lower station at Gittikhani, approximately 15 kilometers north of Butwal, and its upper station on Satyawati Hill. The hill is located around 1.3 kilometers east of Gittikhani (aerial distance).
Satyawati Hill is home to the revered Satyawati Temple, set amidst some dense forest rich in biodiversity and enhanced by the serene Satyawati Lake. The area is known for its natural beauty and strong cultural heritage.
The SCC project is designed to offer pilgrims and tourists safe, reliable, and comfortable transportation to the temple at an affordable cost. In addition to improving access to this sacred site, the project seeks to promote sustainable tourism by fostering local trade, preserving religious traditions, and introducing various tourism-related activities that will benefit the local economy and preserve the area's cultural and natural assets.
